After playing away with one abroad gig at the Tegeingl folk festival, Brian is looking forward to a proper gig with Midge Bites. Tegeingl was fun, although having to go out into the field to get dancers was a bit worrying. Once they came into the marquee it buzzed, and the obligatory drunk set and childrens set (guess which could dance?) plus half a dozen other sets had a fun time, as did Brian.

Chorlton Big Green
It hasn't really taken me a week to recover, but it nearly did. What a night. A zealous doorkeeper made it quite a slow start, but once it got going it was amazing. There were so many dancers it was imposssible to do anything too complex, so we just did hooligan dances while the band really rocked. It was exhausting, and exhilarating.

Why come to a Midge Bite Ceilidh
There are a couple of private gigs lined up for spring, but Chorlton is the first public dance of the year. As a band our aim is fun, whether new to dancing or an expert, the most important thing is to have fun, and last year we really had fun at Chorlton.

Upcoming Gigs
After a fantastic event last year, we are coming back to Chorlton's Big Green Festival on March 27th 2010.
Last year was the first time we've played a Ceilidh inside a Church, but it was brilliant! Lovely Organic beer on sale, lots of happy people, and some great dancing was done.
I can't wait!
